I know the complexity of being a woman in leadership.

I found management to be a role with high expectations, but low support. I often struggled when figuring out how to meet objectives, afraid to ask for help for fear of “looking incompetent” or “not having the answers.” This fear was elevated in a male-dominated environment, where I felt insecure that I did not have the same qualities I saw in my cisgender male peers. 

Couple that with the harmful, life-long conditioning so many women experience — deeply instilled messages to not rock the boat, do all the emotional work, be nice even if it’s hurting, sacrifice your needs for others’ comfort, etc. 

All of this had me face-to-face with my conditioning on a daily basis. It left me digging deep, wondering…how do I express my femininity and lead? How do I remain authentic and hit my goals? How do I share difficult feedback when I’m scared? Where does my responsibility end and another’s begin? How can I give myself permission to create a more inclusive and balanced model of leadership?

These answers are available – through uncovering, unconditioning, and real support. Together, we can all shift into our own whole, empowered, and authentic leadership styles.

This will be an intimate group of up to 10 women, a community of support. These are live, remote sessions, and we meet once each week for 8 weeks in a row.

Course Structure

This is an 8-week course because we need ✨S P A C E✨ in order to first learn, and then integrate into our being/behavior, through practice. Many leadership courses fail to evoke change because they overload you with information all at once, with no space or support to practice what you’ve learned.

Each week will consist of a mix of teachings, reflective activities, coaching, and creating commitments. We will cover 4 specific themes (detailed below), one theme for every 2 weeks. Our weekly meetings range from 1-1.5 hours (dependent on the size of the group). In between, you’ll be practicing your learnings in the field!

Chapters

Resourcing Yourself ✨

In weeks 1 & 2, we will set the foundation by learning about the Masculine and the Feminine. We will resource ourselves so we can show up for others. We will model a culture of spaciousness.

Decision Making with Clarity ✨

In weeks 3 & 4, we will develop decision making lenses to help us center and choose, especially in stressful moments. We will feel into the wisdom of our body and emotions to aid us in our choices.

Feminine Leadership ✨

In week 5 & 6, we will dive into what it means for each of us to lead, from our natural essence. How is that different than what we’ve seen modeled? What are our strengths and in what areas do we want to stretch or grow?

Building Trust with Direct Report✨

In week 7, we will work to develop both courage and techniques to sit with the hard conversations necessary to be an effective leader. Our last meeting, week 8, will be more of a final digestion/integration session.

More about your teacher

After over a decade in the software industry as an individual contributor, a manager, and a department lead, I have learned many lessons and practices that helped me stay centered, make good decisions, have hard conversations, and support and grow my teams. I love sharing these hard-won lessons, to ease others’ transition into leadership. It doesn’t have to be so hard, and you don’t have to go it alone.

  • This course is only for women-identified managers and leaders. If you do not identify as a woman, but want to explore your femininity in leadership, send me an email!

  • The short answer is yes. This course is for women ready to commit to consistently supporting each other in learning. However, life happens of course! And if you need to miss a session, let me know ahead of time, and I’ll make sure you get the needed resources from it.

  • We meet for ~1.5 hours each week for 8 weeks in a row. That’s 12+ hours of content/coaching for $360 paid in full, or $400 paid in bi-monthly installments. (this price is per person)
